Where to stay in Vegas

With so many options available it all boils down to what are you looking to do while you are in Vegas. Many people will opt to pick a hotel resort based on the players club card they hold the most popular of the players reward card belongs to Caesars Entertainment who own in Las Vegas Caesars Palace of course, along with Ballys, Paris, Harrah’s, Imperial Palace, a Planet Hollywood,Flamingo,Bills and the Rio.

The Cosmopolitan Hotel Casino

3708 Las Vegas Boulevard South,

The new hip place in town is of course the Cosmopolitan right next to the Bellagio on the Strip original designed to be private condominiums the rooms in the Cosmo are huge with large wrap-around balcony’s, and the style is a minimalist cool chic. The Cosmopolitan is also the home of the hottest club in town the “Marquee.” Unless you have the cash to back you up when wanting to hang out with the movers and shakers check the hotel out for sure, but stay somewhere else. Other notable clubs are XS and Surrender in Wynn Encore.

Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino

A favourite place of mine to stay when is Vegas is the Rio where all the rooms are massive suites of 600 square feet or more , plus it has one of the coolest clubs in town on the 51st floor rooftop called the Voodoo lounge if nothing else just stop by for a couple of Cocktails, and enjoy the view.
The Palms
Once owned by the Maloof brothers who also own the Sacramento Kings basketball team. The brothers bought The Palms in 1994 and turned it into a celebrity hot-spot hang out, but unfortunately due to some of their other investments they now own only 2% of the casino.
The Palms still has some of the best nightlife in Las Vegas though like the Ghostbar which is often frequented by celebrity clientele, the innovative décor creates an exclusive ambiance unlike anything you’ve ever seen. The dramatic outdoor sky deck offers nearly a 360-degree view of the glittering strip and glass insets in the floors provides a captivating view below.

They also have two clubs, Rain which is their entertainment venue, and the Moon sitting on the top floor of the Palms’ Fantasy Tower, Moon is unlike any other nightclub in the world.
Colour-changing glass tiles cover the floor and curtains of glass beads project striking visual imagery. A brilliant architectural achievement, a massive retractable roof opens to provide a magnificent view of the stars above.

El Cortez

600 Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV LocationBtw. 6th and 7th sts
Call (702) 385-5200
Once owned by the gangster Bugsy Siegel the Hotel is a million miles away in high end luxury compared to some of the resorts on the strip, but it does offer a great place to stay in Vegas that will not break the bank. If you are expecting Wynn Encore where Price Harry was recently staying you are in the wrong place.
What you will have found is the real Las Vegas of “Downtown” home of the Golden Nugget, Binions Horseshoe, and the Four Queens, the place where the locals go to gamble and hang out. If you can’t have fun in downtown Vegas then there is no hope for you. My favourite spot is the bar in the back of Binions where you can drink Coors Light beers for $1.00 while playing low limit Black Jack. Downtown you will even find 25 cent roulette tables, and low limit craps.
